Assistance to community residents in preparing for the heating season
2025–2026 · Kharkiv and Kyiv regions. Preparing residents for cold weather and disruptions to heating, electricity, and other services.
In 2025–2026, the foundation, through a state-run rehabilitation center in the Kyiv region, provided food packages to families raising children with disabilities.
A food assistance project for families raising children with disabilities. The aid was distributed through a state-run rehabilitation center in the Kyiv region, so it went directly to families using its services. The food package meets one of the family’s basic needs and allows them to allocate some of the money they save toward the child’s care and rehabilitation.
Raising and providing constant care for a child with a disability requires a great deal of effort, time, and resources. During wartime, economic hardships and instability add to these challenges.
Such families often face additional daily expenses. In addition to medical and rehabilitation care, they also need social support.
Through a rehabilitation center. The foundation collaborated with the center and tailored its assistance to the specific needs of families who were undergoing rehabilitation or receiving services there.
The goal was to support families raising children with disabilities by providing food packages through the state-run rehabilitation center.
| Objectives | What We Did | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Reach out to families in need of assistance | We worked through a rehabilitation center | The aid went directly to the families who needed it |
| Meeting basic needs | Provided families with food packages | Families received essential food items and were able to partially reduce their financial burden |
| Combined food and social support | We tailored the aid to the specific needs of families | Food assistance became part of the foundation’s broader efforts to support children with disabilities and their parents |
Aid was distributed through the rehabilitation center, whose services the families use.
The aid was tailored to the specific needs of each family.
Support should be simple and useful in everyday life.
Humanitarian aid must meet people’s real needs. Even support that seems ordinary at first glance means a lot when it arrives exactly when a family needs it.
Scope of Work
The project did not replace the center’s rehabilitation and medical services: the food package addressed one of the family’s basic needs.
In 2025–2026, the foundation implemented three projects in the area of food security and community livelihood support. Each project addressed a specific need of the people.
