Odeskabel coaxial cable, eight coils of 200 metres each. The signallers cut it into lengths and build communication lines between the equipment and the antennas.
A PL-259 plug that is crimped onto the end of the cable and screwed into a UHF socket on the equipment or an antenna.
A quick-connect plug for radios and measuring equipment.
A panel socket fixed to the equipment or an antenna outlet with four screws. Together with the UHF plugs, it makes 150 socket-and-plug pairs.
The unit commander asked the foundation in writing for these four items. We opened the fundraiser on August 15 on the basis of this letter and handed over everything it listed.
Over 170 people joined this fundraiser. The 3rd Assault Brigade’s signallers now have 1,600 metres of cable and 470 connectors to build communication lines with. Thank you for being with us and for your trust.
Other units are waiting too. Your next donation will also become concrete help, with an act, photos and a report on the website.
